# My Jump Log — Product Guide My Jump Log is a free digital skydiving logbook. Log jumps and collect signatures in the app; records sync to a Google Sheet and signature images save to your Google Drive. Official website: https://myjumplog.app/ App: https://log.myjumplog.app/ Product guide: https://myjumplog.app/product-guide ## Your records, in your Google Drive Jump records live in your Google Sheet and signature images in your Google Drive. The developer does not operate a central database of jump records. You can access your files directly without using the app. Removing the app or revoking its access does not delete existing Drive files. ## Free, independently developed My Jump Log is offered free of charge. Its creator is an active skydiver with 500+ jumps who built it for personal use and shares it with other jumpers. Low running costs make it practical to keep the app free. ## Mobile and multiple devices The app is a Progressive Web App for iPhone and Android. Use Add to Home Screen on iPhone or Install App on supported Android browsers. Sign in with the same Google account on another device to discover and reconnect an existing logbook. ## Offline logging and signing You can log jumps and collect signatures offline. Pending changes remain in browser storage on that device until successfully synced. Device loss or clearing browser data before synchronization can lose pending records. Check Pending Upload status and verify important records and signatures in Drive. ## Logbook fields and acceptance My Jump Log includes the logbook fields required by USPA SIM §3-1. It is not officially verified or endorsed by USPA and does not guarantee acceptance by any official or dropzone. Skydivers and signers must ensure records are accurate and meet applicable requirements. It is a record-keeping tool, not a safety or flight instrument. ## Google permissions Drive access is limited to specific files created by or explicitly shared with the app. It does not grant general access to your Drive. Consult the Privacy Policy for details. ## Start now; add history later Choose a starting jump number without entering past jumps first. Adding paper records is optional. There is no built-in importer; existing records can be reorganized to match the current Google Sheet, including with an AI tool. Use your sheet’s current column headers and a sample row as the target format. Keep original signed paper records for Paper Verified entries. ## Frequently Asked Questions ### Can I start from my current jump number? Yes. Set your starting jump number and begin logging from where you are today. You don’t need to enter your old jumps first. Adding your paper records is entirely optional. You can add earlier entries directly in your Google Sheet whenever you like. Entries with a signer’s license number but no digital signature appear as Paper Verified. Keep the original paper logbook, since that’s where the signatures remain. ### Does the person signing need an account? No. Hand them your device to review the jumps, enter their skydiving license number, and sign. They don’t need a My Jump Log account or an app of their own. ### Is My Jump Log officially verified by USPA? USPA no longer accepts new applications for digital logbook verification and plans to remove its list of previously reviewed apps in 2027. My Jump Log therefore has no verification process to apply for. My Jump Log includes every logbook field required by USPA SIM §3-1 and was built around those requirements. USPA leaves it to each skydiver to ensure their records meet the requirements. Acceptance for licenses, ratings, or other purposes ultimately depends on the official or dropzone reviewing your records. I can’t promise acceptance everywhere—but this is the logbook I use for my own jumps. ### Can I import my existing logbook? My Jump Log doesn’t have a built-in importer. Your logbook is a Google Sheet you control, so you can add existing records directly. Any AI tool can help reformat your export to match your sheet. Give it your current column headers, a sample row, and the records you want to convert. Here’s a prompt you can adapt: ```text Convert my existing jump records to match my My Jump Log Google Sheet. I’ll provide: 1. The current column headers from my sheet. 2. A sample row showing its format. 3. The records I want to convert. Use the supplied headers and sample as the target format. Preserve the original jump numbers and information. Don’t invent missing values, signatures, or verification details. Ask me about unclear dates, units, or field mappings before converting. Return tab-separated rows in the exact target column order, ready to paste into Google Sheets. List anything that couldn’t be transferred separately. ``` ### What happens if I lose my phone? Your synced jumps and signatures are safely stored in your Google Drive. Sign in to My Jump Log with the same Google account on another device, and it will automatically find your existing logbook. If you’ve been logging offline, make sure everything has synced once you’re back online. Records still waiting to sync are only on that device and could be lost with it. ### How do I know my records have synced? Jumps waiting to sync are marked Pending Upload in your logbook. Once they’ve synced, that label disappears. You can also open your Google Drive to check the saved records and signatures directly. ### What happens to my records if I stop using My Jump Log? Your jumps and signatures stay in your Google Drive, even if you uninstall My Jump Log or revoke its Google access. You can still open, edit, and download them directly. There’s nothing to export before you leave—your records are already yours. ### Can I edit my logbook directly in Google Sheets? Yes—it’s your logbook. Add earlier jumps or update existing records directly in Google Sheets, then refresh your logbook in My Jump Log to see the changes. Keep the Jumps, Equipments, and Settings tabs, their names, and the existing column headers and order intact so the app can continue reading and syncing your records correctly. ### What if I accidentally break my spreadsheet? You don’t have to start your records from scratch. Create a new logbook in My Jump Log, then use any AI tool to reorganize your old records to match the new sheet’s format. Give it the new sheet’s column headers, a sample row, and your existing data. Review the result before pasting it into the new logbook, and keep the original files—including signature images—until you’ve checked that everything is in place. ## Policies Privacy: https://myjumplog.app/privacy Terms: https://myjumplog.app/terms Policies and current app behavior take precedence over this summary. ## Contact & Support For support, inquiries, or feedback, email: info@myjumplog.app
